This is now: Life can change in a second. That second you decide to click on a pop-up because someone is late and you are bored. That second your friend takes to remind you that you need to "try" something. The instant you send a note, pick up the phone to make that call, open your email to something new. It takes a second to change an entire path and to open up a destiny you never dreamed of. Keep this in mind the next time you feel hopeless...all it takes is one second to start a mercurial avalanche of changes. Life is not stagnant, ever. That was then: I have become measured. No longer do I take everything for granted. No longer will I be taken for granted. No longer will my days be filled to the brink so that I am not able to experience them. Each day I will measure what was worth it that passed. I have loved and recently lost. I learned that I am not a quitter and that I need to learn how to be a survivor.
